Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American film television and theatre actress. Thespian Jeanne Marie Triplehorn has worked professionally for 27 years. She started her professional career in 1990, in a non Broadway production called The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. As a character in The Perfect Tribute, she made her TV debut one year later. In 1992, she was a supporting character in the film Basic Instinct Her career began to take off. For The Firm, she played the leading female character for the very first time. She was cast opposite Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. The 1990s saw her professional career included working with top Hollywood stars such as Gwyneth in Sliding doors Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews Relative Values. She was the role of Dr. Alex Blake on the popular international police procedural thriller Criminal Minds.
