Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC friend of hers is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started out as a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded an additional medal in the year 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008 and a gold in the year 2011, and won the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. In 2012 she won her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas, at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won the fight via unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut came in 2002 at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She won this fight with a TKO at the end of round 2 and the subsequent 2 matches were held during the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko had a brief break from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by unanimous decision before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina demonstrated her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended following this victory. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous victory, however she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on a split decision. Antonina recovered from her loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the prize of the night during the bout. Shevchenko went 1-2 in her next 3-fights, defeating Ariane Lipski, and then losing to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
